Owner of Evolve Rolfing
Trauma Release Therapy Specialist.
ISSA Certified in Exercise Therapy.
I have long been intrigued by the human body and it's adaptability, and I don't believe discomfort is a natural state. It's a shame that our culture has come to accept pain as a fact of life, or an inevitable effect of aging.
Our hobbies, sports, work, and daily life often do result in dysfunctional patterns in our bodies. But through increasing body awareness, movement education, and encouraging the body to return to organization and efficiency, pain does not have to become a part of you.
After 10 years of living in Colorado mountain towns snowboarding, backpacking, kayaking, traveling, and completing college, I returned to my birthtown to start my Rolfing practice and raise my kids.
I received a Psychology/Biology degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado in 2001. I graduated from the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado in April of 2003, and immediately started my practice.
I regularly attend Rolf Institute® continuing education classes and continue to become trained in related healing techniques, including Healing Touch, Trauma Release Therapy, Rossiter Coaching, Exercise Therapy and Raindrop Technique.
In addition to my private practice, from February of 2008 to February 2014 I worked with the City of Fort Collins Risk Management, bringing relief to hundreds of employees suffering from musculoskeletal issues and Workman's Comp cases. This experience brought invaluable breadth in understanding of "syndromes" such as carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet, piriformis, etc, as well as many other work related injuries.
I have the priveledge of working with clients from all over northern Colorado and southern Wyoming. Feel free to take advantage of my free consultations, in person or by phone, if you are interested in meeting and discussing how I might be able to help you realize your potential. I look forward to helping you return to your natural, healing state.
